Starting in a section of my grandparents’ 200-year-old barn, I developed an obsession with building up and working in a small woodshop. Learning and creating in the late hours of the night after returning home from my work on construction sites. I knew immediately I wanted to pursue furniture making and other areas of fine woodworking. Wood is a medium that has challenged me like no other and has really sparked an enthusiasm to master its characteristics.

I draw my inspiration from my observations in nature on the rugged coasts of Canada. Disguising function as design features are at the forefront my work.

I want to help minimize the immense waste that is produced from our industry. My collections are made from locally grown hardwoods with traditional joinery to ensure multi-generational use. With the use of natural materials and finishes and recycling/upcycling any waste that comes from my work, I aim to continually reduce my impact on the surrounding environment.
